Microsoft has acquired a 48-acre site at the former Skelton Grange power station near Leeds to construct a new hyperscale data centre, significantly ramping up its investment in the UK. The company has plans to invest �2.5 billion over the next three years and create further data centres in London, Newport and Eggborough in North Yorkshire.
