Graham appointed for £59m Loughborough student accommodation

Contractor to deliver five-block, 552-bed development on University campus.

31 December 2025

Graham has been selected to deliver a new £59 million student accommodation project at Loughborough University, following planning approval from Charnwood Borough Council.

The scheme will add 552 student bedrooms across five buildings of up to six storeys, located in the Central Park area of the university’s East Midlands campus. The development will include a shared plaza, landscaped square, sub-warden accommodation, a plant block, and associated external works.

Designed to meet rising demand for high-quality, self-catered en-suite accommodation, the new Hall of Residence will offer enhanced study and social spaces. The layout reflects student feedback emphasising the importance of convenience and community living on campus.

Construction is set to begin in early 2026, with completion expected by late summer 2027, ahead of the new academic year.

The project is part of the university’s wider strategy to expand on-campus housing capacity. It will be delivered by Graham as part of its ongoing education sector portfolio.
