McCarthy Stone: approval for retirement living in Oxfordshire

New scheme will provide sustainable living for over-65s

29 October 2025

The Mill Street scheme in Middlington will provide 38 apartments for residents over 65-years-old. The aim is to allow residents to retain independence via a wide range of communal facilities and care packages tailored throughout later life.

The The Mill Street Retirement Accommodation aims to create a secure environment for residents. The development will offer 15 one-bedroom and 23 two bedroom units, along with a communal area for social interaction.

The development promotes sustainable living through features like energy-efficient systems, renewable energy sources, and green spaces that enhance local ecology and encourage sustainable transportation.

McCarthy Stone is one of the leading retirement living developers and managers in the UK. It currently manages 475 retirement communities, with around 20,000 residents around the UK.
