Glencar appointed to build next phase of Indurent Park Newport

14 January 2026

Glencar has been appointed as main contractor for the next phase of Indurent Park Newport, the largest new-build industrial and logistics development in Wales.

This marks Glencar’s first collaboration with Indurent, one of the UK’s leading industrial and logistics developers, and will see five new units built ranging from 44,071 sq ft to 115,045 sq ft. The project includes full external works such as service yards, car parking, utilities, drainage, ground improvements and landscaping.

Indurent Park Newport is a nationally significant 100-acre scheme strategically located to link South Wales with the South West of England. The new phase aims to attract international occupiers and support economic growth, further establishing Newport as a key logistics and industrial hub.

All units are targeting BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and EPC A+ ratings, with infrastructure in place for full PV coverage, EV charging and high power capacity. Flexible layouts are designed to suit a range of industrial, manufacturing and logistics uses, alongside energy-efficient offices and staff amenities.

Doug Higson, Operations Director at Glencar, said the appointment reinforced their growing presence in South Wales and highlighted their shared commitment to quality and sustainability with Indurent.

Jamie Payne, Construction Director at Indurent, said: “This next phase represents a significant opportunity to access flexible, sustainable facilities. Glencar’s track record made them a natural partner as we continue to invest in future-ready industrial space.”

Construction is now underway and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026.
