Muse starts new business park in Crewe
Infrastructure works begin at WestonM6 Business Park in Crewe
2 October 2025

Initial infrastructure works have officially commenced at WestonM6, a 1.3 million sq ft commercial and business park being developed in Crewe by Muse. The project is being delivered in partnership with Luddon Construction and marks the first major milestone in transforming the site into a premier logistics and distribution hub.
The current phase includes the construction of a new access road, installation of utilities, and the creation of a 26-acre biodiversity habitat that will be publicly accessible. These works follow the hybrid planning approval granted by Cheshire East Council in May 2024.
Situated between the A500 and David Whitby Way in the emerging Basford East neighbourhood, WestonM6 is designed to provide a mix of logistics, industrial, and office space. Once complete, the development will feature six high-quality industrial units and five office buildings, offering significant employment potential for the region.
Sarah Chicken, Development Manager at Muse, said: “We’re pleased to announce that we have commenced infrastructure works at WestonM6 in partnership with Luddon Construction. This represents the first step in the delivery of our landmark commercial and business park in Crewe.”
She added, “These early works set the foundation for delivering high-quality, mixed-use commercial space and the vibrant natural environment which we are seeking to foster as part of our wellbeing-led vision for WestonM6. With the potential to create 2,900 new jobs upon completion, we are excited to be moving forward on the early stages of a project that is set to attract future occupiers and drive regional growth for years.”
A key element of the WestonM6 vision is the integration of health and wellbeing considerations into the site design. Plans include extensive landscaping with footpaths, cycleways, pocket parks, and nature trails to promote an active and connected working environment.
The infrastructure phase is expected to be completed by April 2026, forming part of a two-phase delivery programme for the wider development.
