EUDCA reveals how €100 billion in investments is reshaping the data landscape

The European Data Centre Association 2025 report highlights advancing AI, digital sovereignty and rapid growth areas.

12 June 2025

The State of European Data Centres 2025 is the inaugural flagship report from the European Data Centre Association (EUDCA), offering a deep dive into the infrastructure that powers Europe’s digital economy.

The report reveals how €100 billion in investments are reshaping Europe’s data centre landscape, advancing AI, boosting digital sovereignty, and expanding from FLAP-D hubs to fast-growing Nordic and Southern regions.

It highlights a projected €83.8 billion GDP impact and over 80,000 jobs by 2030, while addressing key challenges like power access, skills shortages, and sustainability, underscored by the sector’s use of 94% renewable energy.

Developed in collaboration with national Trade Associations and leading researchers, the report presents a large, data-driven examination of the economic, environmental, and technological landscape of Europe’s colocation and hyperscale data centres.
