Planning approval secured for hyperscale data centre at Premier Park

Scott Brownrigg designed West London scheme will deliver 72MW next-gen digital infrastructure capacity.

13 May 2026

Planning approval has been secured for a new hyperscale data centre development at Premier Park in West London, bringing forward a major digital infrastructure project within the capital’s established industrial and logistics corridor.

The scheme has been designed by Scott Brownrigg for the joint venture between Pure Data Centres and SEGRO and will redevelop an underused industrial site into a large-scale data centre campus.

The approved development will provide a 22,365 sq m, three-storey facility incorporating nine data halls alongside office accommodation, plant areas, storage space and a secure entrance pavilion. A dedicated on-site substation will support a planned 72MW power capacity.

The project has been designed to maximise operational efficiency while responding to the site’s prominent position alongside a major rail corridor in Park Royal.

Sustainability measures form a central part of the scheme, with the development targeting BREEAM Excellent certification and an EPC A rating for the office accommodation. The plans also include rainwater harvesting, photovoltaic panels and future heat recovery capability.

Modular construction methods will be used to support delivery efficiency, while the wider landscape strategy incorporates native planting, ecological buffers and sustainable drainage infrastructure.

The approval reflects continuing demand for hyperscale and cloud infrastructure across London, with developers and operators seeking well-connected sites capable of supporting large-scale power requirements and future AI-driven data growth.

Construction on the development is expected to begin in 2026.
